Being a mother can be joyous, stressful, wonderful, frustrating, awesome, and trying. We would not trade it for anything, yet raising children is often a lonely and under-appreciated profession.

Eastside Mothers Club was formed in 1985 by moms for moms in Seattle’s Eastside region. Our purpose is to provide friendship, community, fun, education, and mutual support for mothers and their children (ages birth through five years). EMC is independent and not affiliated with any national organization, religious group or national chapter.

For many of us, becoming a mother was like moving to a new country, where you know no one else and only barely speak the language. EMC can help you find your way in this new land.

Joining EMC will give you the chance to meet other stay-at-home moms, enjoy fun events with your child, and learn about great family activities on the Eastside. Your child will love meeting and playing with other children, and such experiences as sitting in the pilot’s seat of a Cessna (safely on the tarmac), going behind-the-scenes at a local grocery store, and getting close-up looks at iguanas and turtles.
