Mom’s Morning Breaks
Mom’s Morning Breaks (MMBs) are held September through May on the first Thursday of the month, from 10:00 am until noon at the Kirkland Church of the Nazarene in downtown Kirkland.
The September MMB is generally a social get-to-know-you event. Other months feature speakers on a variety of topics from home organization, nutrition, emergency planning, financial topics, and child development and safety.
We ask that all children 12 months and up be checked into the nearby childcare room ($5 for the first child, $4 each for siblings, with a family maximum of $10 for the two hour event). We hire experienced childcare providers for the playroom, which offers a variety of toys, activities, crafts, and an attached outdoor playground, plus a nut-free snack to help your child enjoy the morning. We do understand that not all children are ready to spend two hours in childcare as soon as they turn one – we just ask that you try. If your child must leave the playroom to be with you, please have an activity and/or snack handy to keep him/her quietly occupied for the remainder of the speaker’s presentation.
