Mom's Morning Breaks (MMBs) are held September through May on the first Thursday of the month, from 10:00 am until noon at the Kirkland Congregational Church in downtown Kirkland.

The September MMB is generally a social get-to-know-you event and the December MMB a holiday bazaar. Other months feature speakers on a variety of topics from home organization, nutrition, emergency planning, financial topics, and child development and safety.

We ask that all children 12 months and up be checked into the nearby childcare room ($4/child for the two hour event). We hire experienced childcare providers for the “Explorer Zone,” which is stocked with a variety of toys, crafts, and activities, plus a nut-free snack to help your child enjoy the morning. We do understand that not all children are ready to spend two hours in childcare as soon as they turn one – we just ask that you try. If your child must leave the Explorer Zone to be with you, please have an activity and/or snack handy to keep him/her quietly occupied for the remainder of the speaker’s presentation.
